Between travel days, busy work days, and various other personal stuff that I’ve had to attend to in the past few days, I’ve been unable to really post. Geoff has really picked up the slack, so thank you for that Geoff. Posted in Admin, Jeff | 1 Comment »Wow, I disappear for the afternoon and look what happens. Now, I’ve noticed that as a result of Jeff’s posts, some commenters have questioned our own objectivity. Let’s clear this up right now: I can honestly tell you that we have no leanings toward or away from any particular manufacturer. Both Jeff and I have owned and currently own consoles from each of the Big 3, and we play all of them. We have definitely had some criticism of Sony up recently. This is because Sony has made some decidedly dumb moves. But Lord knows we can criticize Nintendo and Microsoft as well, and we’ll definitely be jumping all over them as soon as they make a mistake (as they inevitably will).
Look, part of what we’ve been advocating on this site is that gamers call things as they see them. This means that when a company makes a mistake - or does something right - we want to recognize it. It doesn’t make us fanboys, or idiots, or on the take. It also doesn’t necessarily make us right, and we want to hear from you if you think we’re off-base. But we can have an intelligent debate about the issues involved without the conversation degenerating into silly name-calling.
And on that note, if we can all refrain from the gratuitous overuse of profanity and personal attacks in the comments, we’ll all be a lot happier. Thanks!

For anyone that was curious, we were moving our WordPress install from our hosts own servers to our own Web Space, so we now have access to really customize the look and feel of our site. In the coming weeks, we’ll have some new pre-reviews and hopefully some changes in our presentation. So, keep stopping by, as there’s more to come!
