It’s… hard to say, really. It’s like the original Contra in that if you can memorize where enemies are going to appear you will do well, but now there are two screens to watch, and very little time to react. I enjoy it, but I think it’s safe to say it’s not for everyone.
One thing that’s nice about it is the multiple difficulty levels. The game plays so differently on Normal than on Easy that it’s almost like playing a different game. Even the guns work differently.

Is Contra in HD? Does it have online coop? Leaderboards and achievements? Is it a mere 10 buckeroos?

But yeah, I’ve heard Contra 4 is pretty tough. Haven’t had the chance to pick it up yet. Is it “good” hard or “bad” hard?
