Welcome

Welcome to all 3 people who find this blog. As my co-editor has shown below, we will be using this blog mainly as a way to talk about games and the game industry. Obviously our site is still in sort of a “beta” phase, and hopefully we’ll be making it more hospitable soon, but we figured, why shouldn’t we let you enjoy it while we work on it?

Despite the name of our site, we will not be talking exclusively about Nintendo. It so happens that both of your editors have been longtime fans/critics of Nintendo, and that we both currently own Nintendo’s newest system, so Nintendo may make it’s way into many of our posts. However, as we’ll be talking about the industry as well, Sony, Microsoft, the PC, and anyone else involved will make their way on to these pages as well.

So why do we exist? What purpose could another gaming blog possibly serve? Well, the obvious reason is that we like to talk about games as well as the industry itself. As my co-editor has demonstrated with the inaugural post, we also like to talk about upcoming games… and in that comes basically the reason we’ve started this thing: future games.

We’re still working on exactly the format and method, but we’re going to try and predict the reviews for upcoming games. I realize that there are tons of sites that have pages and pages of previews with screensheets, movies, and impressions galore, but we’re not about that. We don’t have early access to any games, and in fact, the only thing we have to go by is what everyone else has access to online. Yet, many of us seem to have an idea of how a game will turn out even months before it comes out. So, that’s what we’re here for… to put numbers to our inclinations. Certainly, we can be wrong, but that’s all part of the fun. Developers, please feel free to exceed our expectations… we absolutely welcome it.
